Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given its consent for the development of a broad-gauge railroad spanning from Dholera to Bhimnath. An approximate sum of Rs. 466 crores was allocated towards this project. This investment will further strengthen the state’s industrial development along with improving regional connectivity.
Dholera to Bhimnath Rail Link Project
This new railway line will close the gap between Dholera, an up-and-coming industrial region, and Bhimnath, a vital logistics hub. It is expected to cover a distance of 23.33 kilometers. At the same time, it will also provide an additional point of connectivity to the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Freight Corridor. Having this added layer of connectivity will enhance the ease of transportation regarding raw materials and fully manufactured goods to and from the Dholera Special Investment Region. This will increase efficiency while simultaneously lowering the logistics expenditure.
Dholera SIR will also be able to take advantage of the more supple and responsive transportation systems. This will enable businesses situated in the region to gain a better competitive edge.
