Gujarat eagerly awaits proposals from ISRO as it seeks launchpad construction to further join India’s space endeavors. Recently, the state released its SpaceTech Policy and now proposes an entire new dedicated facility that would enable future space missions and satellite deployments.

Senior governmental officials revealed that several other sites, such as Kutch and Dholera, have the greatest potential for housing the launchpad. One source said, “We hope to design a launchpad in Gujarat for multiple types of missions, such as for communication satellites, earth observation satellites, and even space tourism,” so the possibilities are almost endless for the region’s growing space exploration potential.
Space operations are complex, expensive, and highly regulated so all other stakeholders such as the ISRO, central government, and other agencies would need to guarantee supervision for the construction and implementation of all plans.
Like stated previously, In-SPACe (Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Centre) is also present in Ahmedabad and these new projects would significantly help the national program as well.

In case any further adjustments are needed, feel free to let me know!
Working within the framework of the Department of Space, In-SPACe provides pivotal support for private investment in the Indian space sector. It functions as a one-stop shop for private players to procure infrastructure, launching facilities, and regulatory work.
“In-SPACe is quite interested in the project, and we have made specific provisions for launchpads in our SpaceTech Policy,” stated one of the officials from the state. “We have set out to provide comprehensive grant aid and other support—physical and otherwise—for the development of space-tech in the state of Gujarat.”
Aside from offering satellite components like communication and propulsion systems, the policy describes construction of control centers and application design centers as ground infrastructure to satellite level space mapping infrastructure which satellite operations revolve around. These expanded satellite services will propel deeper reach and application.”
Through this effort, Gujarat is setting itself up to be a major player in the advancement of the nation’s space industry, providing extensive not only for satellites but also a launchpad for boundless innovation.
