To ensure expeditious execution and heightened transparency on development projects, Gujarat’s Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has initiated ground review exercises aimed at overseeing major infrastructure projects within the state. This included the Chief Minister’s visit to Dholera Special Investment Region (Dholera SIR) along with the upcoming Dholera Smart City, which are two of the most transformative construction undertakings within Gujarat, positioning the state as an international industrial and technological center.

Dholera’s Mega Infrastructure On-Site Review

The Chief Minister was accompanied by Dholera’s district administration and all active contractors to review some of Dholera’s infrastructure. These include the state-of-the-art road and transportation systems, sophisticated underground utility systems, ready-to-occupy industrial units, and critical infrastructure such as sewage and water treatment facilities. Furthermore, he conducted an advanced review with key Dholera SIR stakeholders which included the Managing Director of DICDL. Briefing sessions were also conducted by the CEO through detailed presentations from Mr. Kuldeep Arya.

Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway Update: Completion is in Sight.

During the tour, the officials shared the progress on the Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway—one of the most critical connectors for the region’s infrastructure. It was disclosed that almost 95% of the expressway construction is done. “Chief Minister’ is seen with the officials of the expressway pointing the critical defining elements that need to be focused on for swift progress.”

Plug-and-Play Dholera Features Now Functioning.

Integrated urban infrastructure for Dholera is coming up at a very fast pace. Features like roads, electrical and telephone cables buried underground, and industrial plots with plug-and-play readiness is complete. Other important facilities like the water treatment plant, sewerage facility, ICT-videoconferencing infrastructure, and the landmark building, such as ABCD (Administrative and Business named Center of Dholera City) are functioning. Also, the 300MW solar park in Dholera is finished, which adds to the green energy commitment of the state.

Laying Foundation for City Called ‘Semicon.’

With the dreams set by “PM Modi’ in regards to the semiconductor prospects for India, Ahmedabad is now believed to be the semiconductor hub in India; Gujarat is eyeing India’s semiconductor capital. Under CM Bhupendra Patel, Dholera Smart City is maturing into India’s first Semicon City, a world-class combat city with ready flex facility for semiconductors.

Dholera’s robust attraction for national and international semiconductor giants is due to the state government implementing infrastructure at the region. Global corporations are setting up their units, which makes Dholera a focal point of India’s high-tech ambitions.

Major Projects Underway

Some of the key infrastructure projects under development in the region include:

• The freight railway line departing from Bhimnath and ending in Dholera
• Multi-specialty hospital with 192-beds
• K-12 school
• Fire station along with emergency services units
• Investor and employee housing units
• Tata Electronics Semiconductor Plant Established

Tata Electronics has taken a further step in Dholera’s semiconductor journey by setting up a semiconductor manufacturing plant. The CM met Tata Electronics officials and even inspected the construction progress and the site. This marks a significant milestone towards India’s global semiconductor value chain.

CM Dholera International Airport Visit

Mr. Bhupendra Patel, the CM also pays a visit to the Dholera International Airport construction site, which is sponsored by an investment of 1,350 crores PR. He checked the status of the cargo terminal, power terminal, and runway works.
